Incredible ’3D Street Art’ India!

3d street art makes a heartfelt mark on india :-P

Incredible! Truly the perfect adjective that springs to mind when summing up the latest art adventure I’ve recently had the good fortune to experience. From across oceans, deserts and mountains, and into the kaleidoscopic sanctum of my mind / heart – India and its people do not disappoint.

Invited back by the US Consulate of India to appear on a second edition of my 2009 3D Street Painting Tour, I was honored to conduct workshops and create exhibition pieces at amazing venues around the country: the renowned Jaipur Literary Festival (where I missed Oprah by days!); the renowned Kolkata Book Fair & Nandan Arts Center, Kolkata; Vellore Institute of Technology’s Riviera (more…)

2012 Kick Off: 3d Street Painting India Tour!

Happy New Year!

Event Update:

I am honored and pleased to announce my schedule for the 2012 3d Street Painting India Tour, sponsored by the US Consulate of India. The success of the first tour in 2009 was so overwhelming, it prompted the US Consulate to set up a second tour for January and February 2012. I’ll be drawing a super sized street painting at a large student organized festival, interactive images at literary and arts festivals, collaborating with world class sand artists and making an appearance at one of the world’s largest book fairs, in Kolkata.

Each stop will feature a unique 3d images designed specifically for that location, with participation from friends in India at several stops. Workshops on 3d street painting will be conducted at each stop in an effort to foster the growth of this amazing art form in India. I invite everyone to come by to see the art and visit with me while I am there. At most events you can find my work near the American Center Pavilion so look for me there.  It will be a mind-blowing adventure of the dimensional kind to be sure!

3d Chalk Heats Up!

3d chalk art melts before your eyes! Freshly back from lovely south Florida where I just participated in the 17th Annual Lake Worth Street Painting Festival. I’ve been supporting this event for years in response to former festival director Maryanne Webber’s gracious support of my work. With the primary objective of raising funding for scholastic grants to support local aspiring young artists, this non-profit event attracts upwards of 100,000 visitors each year and they certainly know how to put on a quality show! Checkered Flag: 3D meets F1 @ Singapore Grand Prix

Cars, racing, art, Tracy – word play synonymous with street painting at the premier event of the F1 2010 racing circuit – the Singapore Grand Prix! What an amazing experience for me personally as this was my very first F1 race event and boy, did it ever live up to expectations!

Let’s talk about this sport culture for just a moment. F1 attracts the brightest and best in racing, with a worldwide audience of just about 600 million fans. That number indicates there’s got to be something to this sport & I know what it is: the cars. These cars are sexy. Period. Louder than a screaming 747, faster than a speeding bullet and hotter than Angelina Jolie on her best day! (more…)

3D Sidewalk Chalk Art at VM World 2010 Expo

Just returned from glorious San Francisco where I created a series of two 3d chalk art paintings for CA Technologies at the VM World 2010 Expo. The show was held at the Moscone Center, notorious for it’s challenging working surfaces to we street painters, but with a little extra preparation, I was able to tame that surface with very successful results. Assisted by my friend and associate, Charlene, we were able to create one 10′ x 10′ painting per day, working approximately 7 hours on each painting. CA Technologies loved the images, as did all the show participants who had a chance to see them. It was a lot of fun for us, and gave me a chance to catch up with some good friends who live in the Bay Area!

Students Set Their Hands to 3-D Chalk Art in Hong Kong Workshop

While in Hong Kong for the Home Square 3-D Illusion House Project, I had the pleasure of conducting a fun & informative 3 hour workshop for select high school art students from the Hong Kong area. I get inquiries from people all around the globe on how to draw in 3-D. Kids, especially, want to know how to draw in 3-D, so it’s been very rewarding for me to add an educational component, via the workshop, to many of the contracted projects I engage in around the world. Last year’s workshops in India proved so productive for everyone involved that I (more…)
