2008 Mood Indigo Festival, IIT Bombay, Mumbai, India
I’m honored and pleased to report that I’ve just returned from a wonderful street painting experience in ‘Incredible India,’ specifically in Mumbai, where I was invited by Mood Indigo organizer Mukul Bansal, and his team members, to attend this year’s event and present street painting for the first time in this amazing country. On September 25 I had the wonderful opportunity to participate in a public art event titled ‘Stringwreck Hits the Streets.’ This interesting and entertaining performance was created by choreographers Janice Garrett and Charles Moulton of San Francisco. Janice Garrett & Dancers were featured along with The Del Sol Quartet, both from the Bay Area.

Chalk Art hits the 2010 Winter Olympic Games, Vancouver, BC
Tracy Lee Stum, Tobie Roach and Charlene Lanzel will be traveling to Vancouver, BC on Feb. 1, 2010 to create original chalk art murals, known as the ‘Allstate Hall of Fame Tribute’, at the USA House in the Olympic Village as part of the Winter Games festivities. This will be the first time a live art installation will be incorporated as part of the events surrounding the USA House, which will feature images of over 20 USA Hall of Fame Olympians. The mural will be a work in progress, with the artists revealing a figure each day to commemorate past Olympians of Team USA. Please watch the website blog for progress photos, updates, and surprises.
‘Annyeong haseyo!’ (‘Hello’ in Korean) I was recently commissioned to create a large 3d street painting for the renowned Shinsegae Department Store in Seoul, South Korea. I had never traveled to Korea and was very excited about the opportunity to go there and share my work with the citizens of Seoul.

Meticulously created using documents from Da Vinci and other contemporaries who (more…)
