2012 Kick Off: 3d Street Painting India Tour!
Happy New Year!
Event Update:
I am honored and pleased to announce my schedule for the 2012 3d Street Painting India Tour, sponsored by the US Consulate of India. The success of the first tour in 2009 was so overwhelming, it prompted the US Consulate to set up a second tour for January and February 2012. I’ll be drawing a super sized street painting at a large student organized festival, interactive images at literary and arts festivals, collaborating with world class sand artists and making an appearance at one of the world’s largest book fairs, in Kolkata.
Each stop will feature a unique 3d images designed specifically for that location, with participation from friends in India at several stops. Workshops on 3d street painting will be conducted at each stop in an effort to foster the growth of this amazing art form in India. I invite everyone to come by to see the art and visit with me while I am there. At most events you can find my work near the American Center Pavilion so look for me there. It will be a mind-blowing adventure of the dimensional kind to be sure!

I Madonnari Festival 2009 – Santa Barbara, California
Another year has come and gone and I find myself with a little case of post festival blues after completing my 12th year at the Santa Barbara I Madonnari Street Painting Festival. The festival celebrated 23 years this past weekend and the public support could not have been better. In the wake of the terrible fires that have decimated much of the local community, Santa Barbara came out in force to support this unique event.
Lake Worth Street Painting Festival 2009 a Big Success

2009 Lake Worth Street Painting Festival, Florida
What an amazing weekend we had at the Lake Worth Festival this year! Celebrating it’s 15th year as south Florida’s premier street painting event, this festival is arguably the largest in the country, featuring over 280 artists this year and attracting approximately 100,000 attendees over 2 days.
Art Along the Rogue 2008 – ‘Persephone Falling into Hades’
This year I was invited back to charming Grant’s Pass, Oregon to participate in the 6th annual Art Along the Rogue Street Painting Festival. I had last participated in 2006 and was looking forward to seeing my Oregonian friends for another weekend of great art and great music. This festival is spearheaded by Jeff Jones, a musician and art lover, along with the community of Grant’s Pass; they always do a great job at making us ‘out of towners’ feel welcome.
This year the festival had a theme – classical reproductions. Renaissance, Baroque, Pre-Raphaelite, Neo-Classical, Impressionism – anything by a great master. Jeff asked me if I could participate in (more…)

New video posted on YouTube
Some of the best of my 3d chalk paintings over the past 2 years, this video highlights images created around the world for street painting festivals, event promotions, fundraising events, educational projects and tv segments. Most were created with chalk on pavement, but several were permanent installations using both paint and chalk – a new direction for me that I’m hoping to explore to the fullest. Additionally, 2010 proved to be a very active year for me, as I was able to complete 35 paintings throughout the course of the year – a personal record – of various sizes and subject matter. I hope you enjoy the paintings – stay tuned for more!
Street Painting – Louisville, Kentucky
Greetings from Louisville, Kentucky – the home of the ‘Hot Brown’ (no Chicago, this is it’s true home!), Woodford Reserve bourbon and of course, horse racings’ crown jewel, the Kentucky Derby. I traveled to Louisville to create a 3d anamorphic street painting for the Champions 4 Her Festival, sponsored by a Who’s Who of Louisville’s finest (more…)

World’s First Sistine Chapel Street Painting
Back in 2003 I got a call from then director of the Youth In Arts Italian Street Painting Festival, Sue Carlomagno, about a crazy idea she was dying to share with me. ‘How would you like to tackle the Sistine Chapel ceiling?’
I knew she & her husband Joe were planning something big for the 10th Anniversary event but I didn’t realize how big! Talk about ambitious – over 300 figures and yards of architecture, this masterpiece would surely be a show stopper if created. A feat never before undertaken at any festival in the world this was going to be a dream project for many folks involved.
Sue asked me to spearhead the project as I had extensive experience in art directing / painting large mural projects and was used to managing teams of artists. I had recently finished off several large Vegas casino mural projects which involved creating over 11,000 sq. ft. of images. I was game and eagerly jumped into the project planning. Additionally, Sue honored me with a request to create the original art for the event poster: a portrait of Michelangelo’s Delphic Sibyl. I used chalk pastels on paper and the original art was framed and then auctioned off as part of the festival fundraising. (more…)
