3D Sidewalk Chalk Art at VM World 2010 Expo
Just returned from glorious San Francisco where I created a series of two 3d chalk art paintings for CA Technologies at the VM World 2010 Expo. The show was held at the Moscone Center, notorious for it’s challenging working surfaces to we street painters, but with a little extra preparation, I was able to tame that surface with very successful results. New video posted on YouTube
Some of the best of my 3d chalk paintings over the past 2 years, this video highlights images created around the world for street painting festivals, event promotions, fundraising events, educational projects and tv segments. Most were created with chalk on pavement, but several were permanent installations using both paint and chalk – a new direction for me that I’m hoping to explore to the fullest. Additionally, 2010 proved to be a very active year for me, as I was able to complete 35 paintings throughout the course of the year – a personal record – of various sizes and subject matter. I hope you enjoy the paintings – stay tuned for more!
